To which bird those feathers belong? Whose bones are those? Are those broken eggs eaten by a predator or fallen down from a nest? Can you identify those bones from the owl pellet? We will examine many animal body signs left behind and found in a city park or forest. You will use tweezers, magnifiers, field guides and much more, and you will have memorable fun during science activities!
The children will:
make scientific observations, learn how to identify body parts (covering parts such as fur, feathers, eggs, shells, and bones and pellets)
identify several animals by their body parts (plumage, skeleton- bone identification)
deduce animal behavior by their activities based on signs left in the wild
