Description:

Little Wildlife Explorers offers workshops on a weekly basis and these are in English.  They are adapted to encompass a wide range of children abilities. They take place indoors (as indoor station such as a working studio or kindergarten station) and outdoors (as nature walks) and they are about wildlife biology, life sciences, conservation, and in general on the importance of nature in our daily lives, and the impact of humans. These are accompanied by science and art activities according to the age class. Nature walks take place in various locations, such as city parks, local gardens or kindergarten backyards to learn about the local wildlife and nature. This is a great way for the children, and whole family, to come and discover nature!

Structure:

Workshops are divided into three parts. The first part is an introductory session so that children have the opportunity to know more about the topic of the day. The second part is all about the project theme and the third part is focused on scientific activities or arts and crafts. The duration of the whole indoor workshop is from 30 minutes up to 2 hours and the outdoor workshop may vary from 45 minutes up to 3-4 hours.

Materials:

Little Wildlife Explorers provides a wide selection of live samples and equipment during teaching sessions, so kids can examine and identify nature treasures and arouse their discovery, curiosity and imagination. Live samples include bird nests, eggs, and feathers, insects and their nests and body parts, small mammal skulls, bones and teeth, shells, stones, barks, seeds, and flowers, in addition to all sorts of scientific equipment, such as magnifiers, tweezers, collection bags, insect containers, flashlights, binoculars, compasses, nets, field guide books, wildlife identification cards and posters, kids nature books.
