Birdwatching is the sighting and recognition of bird species in their natural environment, as well as the hearing and identification of their songs. This is one of the best ways to approach nature and it involves everyone!
This workshop is for:
children who want to start bird watching, but don`t know where to start
children & parents who want to discover and learn more about birds, nests, songs, feathers
parents who want to benefit from the outdoors and restore their body and mind from everyday stress and pressures
This workshop will help you develop the foundational skills needed to start birding. You will learn how to identify birds using their calls, shape, size, colors, their flights, nests, feathers, behaviors and habitats. Moreover, you will learn how to use a binocular and field guide books. The workshop will focus on the most common birds found in Bavarian forests.
Meeting point: The session is conducted in Forsternrieder forst. I will contact you directly about the meeting place details 2-3 days before.

What is provided: Field guides, binoculars, notebooks.
What to bring: comfortable and closed shoes, long trousers, backpack, water bottle, change of clothes in case kids get wet or muddy, raincoat, sun hat, sun protection.
NOTE: in case of really bad weather (i.e. heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds) the session will be postponed the day after or the next weekend or you will get reimbursed.
