Birdwatching is the sighting and recognition of bird species in their natural environment, as well as the hearing and identification of their songs. This is one of the best ways to approach nature and it involves everyone, families, adults and children.

This workshop is for:

·       Who wants to start bird watching, but don`t know where to start

·       All those who aim to benefit from the outdoors and restore their body and mind from everyday stress and pressures while discovering birds and learning about them.

This workshop will help you develop the foundational skills needed to start birding. You will learn about helpful tools like binoculars and guide books, and learn how to start identifying birds using their sound, shape, size, colors, behaviors and habitats. You will learn these skills with some of the most common birds found in Bavarian forests.

Meeting point: The session is conducted in Forsternrieder forst. I will contact you directly about the meeting place details 2-3 days before.

What is provided: For CHILDREN: Field guides, binoculars, notebooks. For ADULTS: Field guides, notebooks. Please bring your own binocular for adults, if you have one.

What to bring: comfortable and closed shoes, long trousers, backpack, water bottle, change of clothes in case kids get wet or muddy, raincoat, sun hat, sun protection.

NOTE: in case of really bad weather (i.e. heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds) the session will be postponed the day after or the next weekend or you will get reimbursed.
