Reduce, reuse, recycle
Use resources in a sustainable manner helps to preserve them and to reduce our carbon footprint.
What is about:
teaching how to re-use and recycle wastes. Wastes are anything that we don’t use anymore and want to get rid of.
What do children learn:
how to use in a different way natural materials and waste materials (such as food, plastic and paper) instead of throwing them away and how to remake new goods from trash without harming our health. They will learn how to be more creative in thinking of recycling and upcycling projects, and how animals recycle natural items.
Outdoor nature walk:
The walk will be a recycling scavenger hunt, with a collection of what can be recycled in a park or forest. The workshop will be provided with containers and magnifying glasses.
Indoor station:
The workshop will be about differences in recycling different materials, and what we can do and how long it takes for some of them to disappear in nature.
