Children age 6+ , parents, and friends are welcome to participate! It will last approx. 30 minutes, during which we will learn how to identify parts of a plant and its different cycle stages. You will look at these in detail from home through experiments with seeds and kitchen scraps that we will set up together.
You will need to have available:
Egg carton box (the largest one you have)
Cotton wool
A little bunch of wild plant seeds (for example those of a dandelion)
1 apple
1 lemon
1 tomato
1 lettuce
1 carrot
2 Plastic zip lock bags (from 1L - the largest, the better)
3 containers: transparent glasses or medium-size jars or plastic small/medium-size bowls
Plastic tape
Jar of water
knife to cut veggies
chopping board
