Can you spot any berries, pines, nuts, or seeds? Why are they of that shape and color? From which plant do they come? Many trees and bushes in the forest have already started to produce seeds for next spring and this is the perfect period to explore. We are going to hunt and collect fruits and seeds from trees, bushes, and grasses, identify the plants and their life cycle in Forstenrieder forest. We will do an exciting scavenger hunt, and at the end of the session, we will make seed bombs with the seeds collected during our exploration.
Meeting point: The session is conducted in Forstenrieder Park. I will email you about the details on exactly where to meet.
Age: 5-10 years old
Duration of a session: 2 hours + 30 minutes
Parents/grandparents join for free!
What to bring: closed shoes, long trousers, backpack, water bottle, change of clothes in case kids get wet or muddy, raincoat, sun hat (snacks are provided by LWE)
NOTE: in case of bad weather (i.e. heavy rain and thunderstones, strong winds) the session will be postponed on the same day at a different hour, or on the next day on Sunday. In case you cannot attend the postponed event, you will get reimbursed!
