Each season provides different sounds like rain, wind blowing, leaves falling, birds and other animals sounds, and also silence.

What is about:

Learn how to listen and to identify the magic of nature sounds.

What do children learn:

Children will learn to describe sounds and classify them into sound families, to concentrate better, and to relief stress. Thus, their hearing ability will be increased by listening to the sounds around them. Moreover, they will learn to experiment sounds in the woods with stones, branches, leaves, etc.

Outdoor nature walk:

The workshop will be conducted through a sound walk where children learn to record all sounds they can hear. We will do a sound scavenger hunt and identify their sound makers, then we will design a sound trail and map the area where we have been visiting.

Indoor station:

During the workshop, children will listen to different recorded sounds produced in nature including animal sounds and we will identify where these are produced and classify the sound makers. The workshop will provide sound card sheets and sound maker identity cards.
