Forests and gardens are good areas to watch amazing birds and their behaviour!

What is about:

discovery of different bird species and where they live. Children are invited to learn and develop their curiosity.

What do children learn:

Children will learn how to spot birds, how to identify common birds by their plumage, shape and sounds. They will develop patience and identification skills of bird species looking at feathers colors, dimensions and listening at sounds.

Outdoor nature walk:

we will observe birds in the sky, trees, bushes, and on the ground and we will identify them. For each species of bird identified, we will discuss its behavioral characteristics. The outdoor workshop will provide binoculars, magnifiers, field guides, and identification cards.

Indoor station:

The workshop will be about birds living in parks, gardens, and wild forests, their major threats, and ways on how to help them to survive in the city. We will examine live samples, such as feathers and nests, and we will listen to recorded bird sounds, we will identify the bird species through the use of field guides, identification cards, and posters.
